Clementine Nelson

My name is Clementine Nelson. I was born in a small suburb outside Detroit. I lived there until I was about five, when my family moved to San Francisco. We’ve lived here ever since.

When I was about eight, I was introduced to my first darkroom. From then on, I’ve been intrigued with using visual mediums to express the way I experience the world. I have a unique opportunity to capture the authentic experience of what it’s like to be a young person growing up in such a beautiful city filled with wonderful people, places, and communities and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to share that with the world.

I’ve been featured in Southern Exposure’s $1.25: A Ticket for the Next Generation exhibition, the Drawing Room SF’s High School Art Show as well as the 2021 SF Frozen Film Festival, the 2021 Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema Showcase, and was a finalist for the 2020 AMC WAVE Awards.
